4. Mint your token
A step-by-step guide showing how to mint the cryptocurrency token you created
Minting means to generate tokens in your native cryptocurrency.
In this tutorial we will show you how to generate tokens in your native cryptocurrency and send them to other addresses.
Go to Assets page of Porta Console.
Go to the row displaying your cryptocurrency and select: Mint
Choose:
- Who to send the tokens to
- The amount of tokens to send
Go to the balances tab of Assets page
You will see a list of any accounts you have that hold your cryptocurrency token
You can now move onto step 5: Create a smart contract and upload it to the Porta blockchain.
